My husband and I joined the Sweethome association during our year living in Grenoble. It is such a warm and wonderful community of people, a blend of locals as well as foreigners from around the world. We had the opportunity to practice our French, as well as to help others practice their English. We took many day trips together, discovering the beauty of Grenoble and its surrounds. We would recommend Sweethome to anyone settling in Grenoble!

Bonjour !
Je me suis bien installée et mes études me plaisent beaucoup.

Since I was 13, I wondered how to meet foreigners. Interested in langages I was a bit depressed not to be able meeting foreign people. And at that time woofing did not exist yet. Meeting people from everywhere at Sweethome makes me travelling. And I like that

Sweethome in la table ronde is a lovely place to have coffee and meet really and helpful french folks who don’t mind to help foreigners to improve their french. I personnally appreciate a lot Sweethome’s cultural outings and interesting presentations

I’m absolutely happy to discover this group “ Sweet Home Grenoble “. First of all I can practice my French with real French people ! Learn some particular phrases, words . Also it’s great atmosphere here !! Every week some interesting invents, like : excursions, trip of the city, trip to other cities, villages!
All people are very friendly and open and ready to help!
Thank you Corinne for all that ;)

I love Sweet Home, every Monday there's a different subject I always learn new things, it's a very dynamic group. Corinne organizes very often outdoors activities which is great because we discover many places around Grenoble that I wouldn't have visited by myself. "

The Sweet Home Grenoble group is a must for anyone arriving in Grenoble from overseas. They are very welcoming and helped us get our bearings, introduced us to life in Grenoble (and in France) and generally answered any question we could throw at them. The multi language nature of the meet ups (French and English) made for a comfortable, less intimidating way to improve our French and integrate the group.
